Frustration to Innovation
In 2019, my vinyl collection outgrew the standard IKEA Kallax, making it hard to navigate and enjoy my records. Frustrated, and with a long-held desire to make furniture, I decided to create my own storage solution, combining my passion for woodworking with my love of music.
This led to the creation of The Bale Record Drawer and the Nowpie vinyl record holder. Encouraged by positive feedback, I launched FNRBLR, offering beautifully crafted timber-based vinyl storage solutions. Today, we're gearing up for an exciting relaunch in 2024, with new products designed to elevate the vinyl experience for collectors worldwide.

What the FNRBLR?
The name FNRBLR was coined in the mid-00s while I was working at a digital advertising agency. We joked that tech startups were running out of vowel-inclusive domains (e.g., Fiverrr, Tumblr, Grndr) and predicted that FNRBLR might be the last available .COM.
We laughed and started using FNRBLR as a placeholder for generic names. When I launched the online store, I chose FNRBLR for its absurdity and ambition. Surprisingly, the domain was available.
While its meaning has sparked fun debates, my favourite interpretation is:
For No Reason Beyond Loving Records.
Oh, and it’s pronounced fur-nerr-blur.
